Our Colombia Trip February 2015

Coffee Bean Shop’s first coffee plantation trip.

Visiting over 8 plantations in 10 days, the team gained a real feel for the coffee culture abroad. From buggy’s to horse back, the trip was a success with the aim of exspanding coffee knowledge and visitng fairtrade coffee farms. learning the culture and all things coffee.

Within the trip we heald our HQ in Bogota. Wilst visiting the beautiful city we visited the Monserrate mountian and the church that lies ontop, more than 3,000 mitres above sealevel.┬áThe trip helped us in our early trading days to educate us further on coffee. The trip aimed at seeing many of the processes such as picking, pulping and drying the coffee beans. We also strived on visitng the renowned ‘swiss water’ plantations and to see how the process of non caffine coffee works.

We hope everything we learnt form the trip can be seen in our amazing coffee we sell at the coffee bean shop… you have to try our ┬áColombian coffee.

Apart from the sign seeing the main attraction in our minds was the coffee. A complete caffine overdosed trip. Although many images ahve been misplaced form the trip, below you can see Liz the founder of coffeebeanshop aswell as cupping tables and the landscape.
